What will you be doing?
You will help to ensure our organisation is aware of company and charity law. You will help give advice and monitor all applicable aspects of law, ensuring that our organisation follows proper procedure and best standard of practice. You will also help with identifying where law and legislation, as it is, lets people down and help to give advice how the organisation can operate safely to help people in need while our legal teams review and analyse legislation and law. You will be a creative, proactive solution-finder who can identify risks and help to lead our organisation towards success. They must also be able to handle crises with integrity for their business in order to protect and advance it.

We are looking for an highly qualified Legal Counsel to oversee the legal aspects of our business. You will safeguard our reputation by guaranteeing that our organisation is aware of andy follows law guidelines and give legal advice to management about all relevant issues.

The successful candidate will effectively ensure legal conformity and minimize probability of exposure.

 

Responsibilities
Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labour law, partnerships, international ventures, charity law, corporate finance etc.)
Collaborate with management to devise efficient strategies to help people and carry out our life-saving work
Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance
Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding organisational decisions and operations
Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues
Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust
Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the organisation’s full legal rights
Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces
Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization
advise on new laws, existing ones, and legal rights that would impact the functionality of our organisation and our cause based projects.
Conduct your work with integrity and responsibility
Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation
