Greenwich Migrant Hub is a weekly drop-in centre offering free advice, practical support and a hot meal to migrants who are excluded from mainstream services.
Our drop-in is open to anyone who does not have settled status in the UK and focuses particularly on supporting people without recourse to public funds. We offer legal advice on immigration and housing matters as well as specialist outreach support around domestic violence, destitution, employment and access to healthcare.
Our volunteers play a central role in the running of our Tuesday sessions. If you would like to commit time and energy to supporting families and individuals to access legal rights and practical support we are currently recruiting:
Advocacy Volunteers – Responsible for initial assessment of visitors to the Hub, detailed case notes, signposting and referrals, direct advocacy, practical and administrative support where necessary, possibility of specialisation e.g. homelessness support
