This role is two positions in one. Initially you will take incoming calls from clients, where you will assist them with their issue – this could be signposting or referring them to another organisation, or providing simple discreet information and advice. After a few months you will then be retrained for a face-to-face role, where you will interview clients, and then assist them in completing a disability benefit application. From that point forward you will work a combination of both roles.
Volunteers in these positions can have a dramatic positive impact upon a client’s well-being, and so they can be a very rewarding and satisfying roles. In addition, they teach you a large number of very useful, transferable skills.Download Attachment
