Website Centre 70
Centre 70’s Monday evening legal advice sessions operate as an adjunct to the daytime advice centre. The underlying aim is to give initial advice to anyone who attends. The type of legal advice is varied but the main types which arise are consumer problems, Matrimonial and family matters, general private client matters, general Court matters and employment matters. The sessions are held every Monday from 7pm – 8.30/9pm at Centre 70 Advice Centre, 46 Knights Hill, London, SE27 0JD, directly opposite West Norwood train station with good links to London Bridge and Victoria, and on a number of bus routes.
The volunteers should be qualified lawyers but we will consider those on a training contract. You should be able to commit for a minimum of 6 months. New volunteers usually sit in on a few sessions to begin with. Generally two volunteers attend the session each week and are on the rota roughly every four to six weeks, or more frequent if they want.
