National Pro Bono Week is an annual event at the start of November, sponsored by the Law Society, the Bar Council and the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx).
Joshua Rozenberg will launch National Pro Bono Week by interviewing panellists on pro bono; including how pro bono advice can help support health and education.
The panel will include: Professor Dame Haze Genn, Professor of Socio-Legal Studies at UCL Laws, and Director of the UCL Centre for Access to Justice and Co-director of the UCL Judicial Institute; The Rt. Hon Mr Justice Knowles CBE, who sits in the Commercial and Administrative Court, and the Court of Appeal Criminal Division, and was awarded the CBE in 2007 for service to pro bono legal services; Raymond Sheehy, Chief Executive Officer of the Bridge charity and trustee of Law for Life; and Yasmin Waljee, Yasmin Waljee OBE, International Pro Bono Director at Hogan Lovells.
